About Me

I started practising Pilates some 10 years ago, when I found that as my body was ageing, I was increasingly suffering injuries- both in my hobby Contemporary dance, and also from my long term profession as a dentist.

The Pilates classes are for adults of all abilities and all ages. I can adapt exercises to make them easier or more difficult as  required for each individual.

What is the Pilates Method?

The Pilates method is a mind-body centring technique that emphasises the importance of beginning movement from a central core of stability, and then progressing the intensity of movement with a mix of strengthening, mobility and stretching movements.
